Bre Drake

Certified Holistic Pet Health Coach, Dog Mom

Bre's deep love for her dogs has always defined her life. At any cost, she makes sure her dogs are included in her and her husband’s travels, fishing expeditions, boating adventures, walks on the farm and in the woods — her dogs’ happiness fuels her happiness. For years, she followed conventional practices, believing she was doing the best for them. However, her perspective shifted in 2023 when Ann, her 11-year-old golden retriever, began showing signs of arthritis. Her conventional vet prescribed pain pills for daily use, but Bre sought a better way, one that addressed the root cause rather than just the symptoms.

This search led her to a vet certified in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCVM), where she was introduced to a holistic approach to pet care. The vet’s thoroughness and focus on Ann’s overall well-being was a revelation for Bre. This experience ignited her passion for holistic dog care, and within a month of switching Ann and her younger dog, Skip, to a fresh food diet, she noticed a remarkable transformation. Both dogs were happier, more energetic, and healthier. Inspired by this success, Bre began sharing her experiences with others.

In April 2024, Bre faced a new challenge when Ann was diagnosed with oral cancer. The prognosis was grim, with an expected survival of only 2-3 months. Determined to explore every option, Bre connected with a holistic veterinarian she had heard on a podcast. Through natural treatments, Ann not only survived but thrived, living a high-quality life for nine months post-diagnosis without any pharmaceuticals. Sadly, Ann passed away in December 2024, but her journey remains a powerful testament to the effectiveness of holistic care.

Just two months after Ann's diagnosis, in June 2024, Bre and her husband were devastated by the news that Skip, their 8.5-year-old golden retriever, had a mass on his spleen. The emergency vets recommended surgery, but Bre had doubts. Despite her instincts, she proceeded with the surgery, only to later learn that the mass was hemangiosarcoma, one of the most aggressive cancers in dogs. Skip recovered from surgery, and Bre immediately applied the holistic methods she had used with Ann.

Unfortunately, the cancer spread quickly, and Skip passed away just weeks later. Although Skip's loss was heartbreaking, it solidified Bre’s resolve to help other pet parents avoid the pain she experienced. His sudden diagnosis and death, along with Ann's battle, motivated Bre to further her education in holistic dog care.

In the fall of 2024, Bre completed her certification in holistic pet health coaching through Dr. Ruth Roberts' program. This intensive program provided a deep dive into natural healing modalities, fresh food nutrition, supplementation, and strategies for preventing and managing chronic disease. With this knowledge, Bre is now more equipped than ever to guide pet parents in making informed choices early on to prevent chronic illnesses and offer support to those caring for pets with serious conditions.

Bre's mission is to provide hope and a clear path to wellness, ensuring that every pet has the chance to live a long, healthy, and happy life.
